This unique accommodation in the 1869 Station Master’s Residence at this still active train station is available for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. Minimum 2 nights stay, suitable for weekends, mid-week or longer stays. You have the residence to yourself. The residence has three bedrooms, a living/dining room, kitchen and bathroom. Two bedrooms have queen-sized beds and the third has twin single beds. The third bedroom can also be used as a sunny sitting room.

A breakfast basket can be arranged if required. There is complimentary tea/coffee/sugar and long-life milk. When we know of the time of your arrival we can organize heating if needed. There are no shops in the village. Rydal is 20 minutes from Lithgow, 10 minutes from Wallerawang and 40 minutes from Bathurst.

• No pets and no smoking in the house. There are no EFTPOS facilities.
• Books, DVDs videos etc are on hand. There is no TV reception.
• Book in after 2pm, book out by 10:30am

The village has a signposted heritage walk and easy access to bushwalks on the nearby Bicentenary Trail.

Day trips on the XPT to places such as Bathurst, Milthorpe and Orange are possible. There are many nearby attractions such as Jenolan Caves, Mayfield Gardens Oberon, the wine region of Mudgee, scenic drives and national parks.

Trains pass by the unattended station regularly. People who stay in the residence report that they are not woken by the trains. The station is served daily by the Dubbo XPT (bookings required) and the two Bathurst Bullet trains (Opal fare).

The Station Master’s Residence in the Rydal Railway Station is managed by the Rydal Village Association Inc., a volunteer group dedicated to the care of Rydal and it’s heritage.

Costs: $160 per night per couple for a minimum of two nights, $50 extra per additional adult, $25 for children under 16 per night. Maximum of 6 people
The same rates apply for weekends, weekdays or holiday periods.
Breakfast Basket: Price on application: standard basket or gourmet basket.
Deposit of $100 secures a booking, balance payable before arrival.
All payments to Rydal Village Association Inc.
