Nestled on the western ramparts of the Blue Mountains, Rydal has unique accommodation to indulge couples and families.
SELF CONTAINED ACCOMMODATION
This unique accommodation in the 1869 Station Master’s residence at this still active train station is available for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. Minimum 2 night stay, suitable for weekends, mid-week or longer stays. You have the residence to yourself. The residence has three bedrooms, a living/dining room, kitchen and bathroom. Two bedrooms have queen-sized beds and the third has twin beds. The third bedroom can also be used as a sunny sitting room.
The residence is fully self-contained with a well equipped kitchen and beds made up ready for you. All laundry is cared for by Access Industries for the Disabled Ltd Lithgow.
A breakfast basket can be arranged if required. There is complimentary tea/coffee/sugar and long life milk. When we know of your approximate time of arrival we can organize heating if needed. There are no shops in the village. Rydal is away from the highway 15 minutes from Lithgow, 10 minutes from Wallerawang, 25 minutes from Mt Victoria and 40 minutes from Bathurst.
- No pets and no smoking in the house. There are no eftpos facilities.
- Books, DVDs videos etc are on hand. There is no TV reception.
- Book in after 2pm, book out by 10.30 am.
The village has a signposted heritage walk and easy access to bush walks on the nearby Bicentennary National Trail. The website has a map of the village which you can download. Click on Heritage Walk. Day trips on the XPT to places such as Bathurst or Orange are possible. There many nearby attractions such as Jenolan Caves, Mayfield Garden Oberon, the wine region of Mudgee, scenic drives and national parks.

The Station Master’s Residence in the Rydal Railway Station is managed by the Rydal Village Association Inc, a volunteer organization dedicated to the care of Rydal and its heritage.
Costs: $160 per night per couple for minimum of 2 nights, $50 extra per additional adult, $25 for children under 16 per night. Maximum of 6 people.
The same rates apply for weekends, weekdays or holiday periods.
Breakfast basket: Price on application: standard basket or gourmet basket.
Deposit of $100.00 secures a booking, balance payable before arrival.

Rydal Cottage is the perfect couples retreat and has recently been totally renovated and tastefully restored into a cosy country hideaway. The cottage is centrally located in the village on a large 2 acre block known as Cartwright Place.
